839,361. Endless belt conveyers. MINING ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. July 13, 1956 [Aug. 8, 1955], No. 22829/55. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XXV] In a belt conveyer of the kind in which the belt is carried on cross-members 3 extending between a pair of driving chains, each chain comprises lengths of closed link cable chain joined by connecting links (not shown), each length having at spaced positions along its length closed links 2 each formed with two opposed pairs of lugs 5 for detachable connection to a cross-member. Each end of the crossmember is formed with a recessed portion 8 in which two vertical flats 7 are provided, these flats being received between the pairs of lugs 5 and secured thereto by split dowels 9. Specifications 729,943, 737,583, and 740,906 are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 762,595.
