Abstract

770,442. Endless belt conveyers. MINING ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Feb. 24, 1955 [March 9,1954], No. 6897/54. Class 78 (1). In a belt conveyer wherein the belt 2 is supported on carriers 1, each forming part of a cross-member assembly extending between a pair of driven cable chains 6, the cross-member assembly includes portions 3 each of which spans and is detachably connected with an open link 5 adapted to connect successive lengths of chain 6. The link 5 has a key 12 engaging a keyway 11 in the portion 3 and a bolt 13 is passed through aligned holes in the lugs 8 of the open link 5 and in the portion 3. The portions 3 terminate in spindles 9 for track rollers 10. Specification 740,906 is referred to.
