Abstract

1,097,032. Endless conveyers. RENOLD Ltd., and E. ANDREWS. July 10, 1964 [April 10, 1963], No. 1446/63. Heading B8A. The load carriers of an endless chain conveyer are formed by spaced parallel plates 10, 10, which also form side plates of a link of the endless traction chain 1, 2, thus enabling the chain to articulate in two planes at right angles. The plates 10, 10 carry rollers 11, 11, running on flanges of tracking 24. Sleeves 15 carrying the rollers 11, 11, are a force fit on a pin 12 which is in knurled engagement at 25 with the plates 10. The endless traction chain of the conveyer comprises rollers 7 which engage walls 27 of the tracking 24, and are mounted at the joints of links 1, 2, connected to the plates 10, 10, by U-shaped links 5. Each of the latter engages a groove 44 in a respective bush 8 carried by a non-rotating pin 9 connected to the plates 10, 10. The load is secured to holes 26, 26 in the plates 10, 10.
