Abstract

772,401. Endless chain conveyers. TELEFLEX PRODUCTS, Ltd. Aug. 18, 1955 [March 2, 1954], No. 23787/55. Class 78 (1). In an endless chain conveyer including alternate load-supporting links 10 and intermediate links 17 interconnected by double hinges to allow of universal flexing and carrying supporting and guide rollers respectively which engage different guide faces of a profiled guide rail 13, each intermediate link consists of a pair of horizontal flat metal bars and has a guide roller 19 located between the bars and centrally of the length of the link. Two pairs of supporting rollers 14 are carried on each loadsupporting link 10, one pair at each end with the rollers of each pair on opposite sides of the link. Each roller 14 is of truncated hemispherical form and has an annular groove for ball bearings 16 which run on the adjacent face of the link 10. Each double hinge is formed by a connecting member 21 having a pair of lugs embracing a link 10 and pivoted to it by a pin 25, and a single lug entering between the bars of a link 17 and connected to them by a pin 29. Each link 10 includes a notch 30 for engagement by dogs on a driving chain. The guide rollers 19 preferably incorporate ball bearings.
