1479021 Endless conveyers K G HINTERKOPF 17 July 1974 [1 Aug 1973] 31639/74 Heading B8A An endless conveyer has a storage device associated therewith and comprising a first section 10 of conveyer chain extending between fixed sheaves 3 and movable pulleys 6 and a second section 11 of the chain extending between fixed sheaves 2 and movable pulleys 5, the pulleys 5, 6 being so interconnected that when one set moves to lengthen its corresponding chain-section, the other end moves to shorten its corresponding chain section so as to enable the device to receive objects whilst not advancing them or vice versa. As shown the pulleys are mounted on common carriages 9 also connected to chains 30 to pulleys 29 in turn driving further carriages 8 which carry guides 26 for the conveyer chain, and fixed guides 25 are also provided. In alternative embodiments the pulleys are carried by respective mechanically interlinked carriages.
