Flat endless-belt conveyers; parallel bands and ropes without widely-spaced cross-connections; endless-chain elevators with comb carriers; discharging and feeding devices.-An endless-belt conveyer, or an endless conveyer composed of a series of parallel narrow belts or ropes, is divided into sections arranged at an angle to each other in a horizontal plane. The upper run of a conveyer, composed of a series of parallel ropes, passes over pulleys A<2> - - F<2> arranged in the same horizontal plane and below pulleys a<2>, b<2>, Fig. 3, at the junctions of the sections. This type of conveyer is fed by an endless-chain elevator, the bottoms of the carriers 17 of which are cut away so that they can pass below the end of the conveyer.
