Abstract

211,532. Cruse, H. Oct. 16, 1922. Endless - chain conveyers with articulated receptacles.- In a chain pump for raising granular &c. substances, the links consist of a number of rings &c. a united by pins which serve also to connect them to adjacent links. The chain may pass round two fixed upper pulleys and a movable jockey pulley to enable the depth of immersion of the chain to be adjusted. Two or more chains moving at different speeds may be combined, so that the slower chains pick up the liquid which falls from the faster ones.
