Abstract

900,042. Shackles. CHANDLER, J. E. June 7, 1960 [June 18, 1959; Dec. 23, 1959], Nos. 20906/59 and 43612/59. Class 24. [Also in Group XXX] In an endless chain conveyer wherein the conveyer chain incorporates load-supporting trolleys which run on a rail track, each trolley has a frame 1 which is provided with a T-shaped slot 2 in which pins 6 on the adjacent ends of two connecting links 5 are engaged, the other ends of the connecting links 5 being connected to adjacent lengths of link pin chain 8. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, the vertical portion 2b of the slot 2 is closed by a pair of plates 7 which contain apertures for the connection of a load thereto. In a second embodiment, Fig. 3, the frame 10 of the trolley is formed with a T-shaped slot 11 having an inlet portion 14 so arranged as to provide a hook 15 for the attachment of a load thereto, and the connecting-links 13 are so formed at their ends provided with the connecting-pins 12 that they can only be inserted through the portion 14 when in the vertical position (Fig. 4, not shown).
