753,711. Endless-chain conveyers. KING, D. M. May 17, 1955 [June 14, 1954], No. 17459/54. Class 78 (1). In conveyers of the kind wherein an endless driven chain 21 is supported by load forks 20 which depend from trolleys 16 running on a fixed overhead track 22, each trolley comprises a pair of spaced plates 10, 11 formed with recesses 13, 14 to engage hubs 17 on which the rims 18 rotate freely, the plates being retained in engagement with the hubs by the load forks. Each hub has a cruciform recess 19 into the centre of which-the plates 10, 11 are placed before being moved sidewise to engage the recesses with the hub. After the load fork 20 has been placed between the plates, the connecting bolt 15 is passed through central apertures in the plates and between the limbs of the forks. The chain 21 is composed of U- shaped links 25, 27 connected by pins 24. The closed end of the link 25 is cut away to take between the limbs of the fork which are formed with recesses 26 to receive the shoulders formed on the links. The limbs of the link 27 bear on the outside of the limbs of the fork. The pin 24 connecting the limbs 25, 27 also secures them to the forks.
