Abstract

287,042. Withers, J. S., (Bonnart et Cie). Aug. 12, 1927. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, March 13, 1928]. B e l t - fastenings comprise plates 1 bent to form eye which are notched and interconnected by cat-gut pins 6 either directly or through the medium of one or more intermediate plates 7 which may carry linings 10 of the same material as the belt. The plates 7 may be formed of tubes which are flattened and have their upper and lower faces secured together by rivets or by welding. Bifurcated rivets 3, 9 secure together the plates and belting. The use of two or more intermediate plates 7 in series facilitates shortening of the belt to adjust for stretching. Two or more fastenings may be arranged sideby-side across the belt width.
