Driving and like chains with separate joint pins.-Link plates are folded double at their ends as shown in Figs. 5 and 7 and are then hooked together, as shown in Fig. 9, and pivotally connected by pins. Fig. 9 shows two such chains held in parallel relation by pins carrying rollers 7. Chains may be formed from link blanks of the shape shown in Fig. 1 by folding the blank double on the line ab and folding the ends 2 outwards for the inner links and inwards for the outer links. The chains may be secured to driving-belts 9, Fig. 10, by arched members 8 riveted to the belt. 'The links may be faced with leather or like material.
