Abstract

261,793. Heberlein & Co., Akt.-Ges. Nov. 21, 1925, [Convention date]. Addition to 255,453. Yarns &c., treating with liquids.-The process described in the parent Specification, according to which vegetable and artificial fibres are treated with a halogen compound of phosphorus in the presence of an alcoholic solution of an alkali, is modified by arranging that a separate treatment with alkali precedes or follows the treatment with the halogen compound of phosphorus. Between the treatments the material may be washed with an indifferent solvent and in some cases dried. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers to a process in which treatment with the halogen compound of phosphorus is carried out in the presence or absence of alkali. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
