Abstract
254,336. Montulet, F. June 27, 1925, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Spray carburettors.-The carburettor body comprises two portions 1, 2 secured along a joint X, Y by a cap nut 11 and bolt 8. The float chamber contains a filtering screen 3 with a solid bottom 4 carrying a rod 6 which forms a guide for the float. Fuel passes through a duct 19 to the main and slowrunning nozzles 21, 28 and, on its way, mixes with air admitted through ducts 27 and tube 9 in the float chamber. The main nozzle extends upwardly through the part 1 and a choke tube 13 therein. The slowrunning nozzle enters a recess in the part 37, Fig. 3, below a sleeve 48 having an aperture 49 therein which is controlled by a needle valve 50. The sleeve 48 has an aperture opposite a bored plug 52 and another 61 adjacent a conduit 34 which communicates with the discharge conduit 33. Fig. 1. on the engine side of the throttle valve 15. In a modification, the upper and of the nozzle 28 is surrounded by a rotatable sleeve having apertures of different sizes which may be made to register with the conduit 34.
