244,432. Gandenbergersche Maschinenfabrik G. Goebel. Dec. 9, 1924, [Convention date]. Inking-apparatus. - In inking-apparatus for platen printing-machines in which the inking- rollers travel past the forme in a circular path, the rollers are carried by rings mounted at the sides of the machine onantifriction rollers and rotated by the machine, the strip to be printed passing through the open apertures of the rings. The rings 12, supported on rollers 13 and driven by gears 15, Fig. 1, on the main shaft 16, carry one or more sets of inking-rollers 8 yieldingly mounted on carriers 9, Fig. 3. These carriers are laterally adjustable on cross-bars 10. to which they may be clamped by screws 11. The strip 2 to be printed passes through the rings over the bed 1 under the reciprocating forme carrier 4. The rings 12 may be arranged around the forme carrier instead of around the bed.
