Abstract

245,833. Gadsby, A. T. Oct. 14, 1924. Bronzing and the like.-Detail improvements are described in the type of burnishing-device described in Specifications 9259/88, [Class 101, Printing other than letterpress &c.], 28701/97, and 568/13 and comprising a number of circular pads 1 rotating in the plane of the sheets. The pads are mounted in a frame 8 removably fixed in the machine, adjusting-screws 9 being provided to vary the pressure on the sheets ; they are also arranged in rows as shown and are rotated by a chain. The sheets are fed by rollers 3 and 4 co-operating with the usual conveying-band. The, arrangement may replace the burnishing-rollers in the machine described in Specification 11279/05, [Class 101, Printing other than letterpress &c.].
