Abstract

291,255. Rowles, S. G., and Fender, P. R. July 20, 1927. Delivery apparatus for a rotary printing machine, particularly an offset machine as described in Specification 204,956, [Class 100 (ii), Printing processes &c.], comprises two sets of endless bands 10, 12 passing respectively around the impression cylinder 8 and the offset or printing cylinder 6, and supported at the ends removed from the cylinders by rollers 5, 4 carried by a frame 3, so as to form a stripping, gripping, and conveying device for the sheets, bags, or the like printed by the cylinders 6, 8. Tensioning-devices for the brakes, consisting of rollers carried by adjustable arms 11, 13a are provided, and the bands are made partly or wholly of resilient material, so as to prevent slackness on the bands due to the flat parts on the cylinders.
