Dropping-roller and like feeds; sheet-registering devices; delivery apparatus.-Sheets are fed to a rotary intaglio or other printing-machine from a feed-table a provided with a knife-edge front b by means of a dropping freely rotatable roller i carried by an oscillating arm j actuated by a cam l. The roller i co-operates with a driven roller g, which may be a sectional one, and which acts through a slot formed in the table a to press on the undersides of the sheets, which are fed by hand against front stops d with the aid of usual side registering devices. The stops d are depressed simultaneously with the roller i by a link e, and as the roller i ascends it is brought to rest by an adjustable brake block m mounted above it. After printing the sheets are delivered by guides and strippers n, p, and a margin roller o to tapes passing over rollers q, r, or in a modification an air blast may be used to strip the sheets, and they may pass by a more direct course to the delivery tapes, an auxiliary set of tapes being employed for this purpose.
