[Class 100 (i)] In a printing-press comprising a number of units each with its own web supplying means individually operable web-threading means are provided for each unit. The web passes to the printing unit from the supply roll round guide rollers 13 and a spring-pressed guide roller 13<a>. At one end of each of the rollers 13 is freely mounted a pulley round which runs an endless threading tape 15 which runs also round guide pulleys 20, a driving pulley 21, and a tape tensioning pulley 27 carried by an arm 28 and arranged adjacent to the roller 13<a>. The pulley 21 is adapted to be driven from a motor 25 which may be controlled from a station 31 adjacent the web-supply means and also from a station 30 adjacent to the printing unit 10. To thread a web, its leading end is attached to the tape and the motor 25 started from the station 31. When the web reaches the roller 13 adjacent the unit 10, the motor is stopped from the station 30, the end of the web is detached from the tape and guided by the operator into the printing unit through which it is fed by inching the press. Instead of the pulleys 20, additional loose pulleys for the return run of the tape may be provided on the shafts of the rollers 13.
