Class 100(1) A chain delivery in two-revolution presses is characterized in that the chain delivery is supported in the same stand 1 as the impressed cylinder and has two endless chains running in parallel and is combined with a cutting mechanism supported by the same stand and driven by the chain delivery, the cutting mechanism being so arranged that cutting of the printed sheet in its longitudinal direction is effected through the centre line of the chain delivery and between the two chains of the delivery. The chains run in guides 2 and are driven by sprockets 3 on a shaft 4 to which is attached two gear wheels 5 and 6. The gear 5 is driven from a gear on the cylinder journal of the press and the gear 6 serves to drive a gear 31 fast on a shaft 32 supporting the guide rollers 40 and 42, 43 of the cutting mechanism. The chain carries sheet delivery grippers 13 of the type described in Specification 773,255 and which are operated by cams 7 and 12. The cutting device includes a shaft 37 mounted in the press stand and which carries rollers 36 to each of which is pivoted an arm 33. One of the arms 33 carries a cutting disc 41 which co-operates with the rollers 42, 43. The other arms carry draw-rollers 34 for cooperation with the rollers 40. The cutter and draw-rollers are biased into engagement with the rollers 42, 43 and 40 by spring-loaded straps but may be raised therefrom by means of a screw 39.
