Abstract

812,485. Sheet delivery apparatus. DERITEND ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Dec. 23,1957 [Dec. 24, 1956], No. 39158/56. Class 100(1) Mechanism for retarding the delivery of cardboard and like blanks m from a machine c by which they have been treated and wherein the treated board is passed between initial twin delivery rollers k which run at a predetermined speed comprises pairs of secondary rollers e, g and d h, between which the board is passed, running at a reduced speed, the lower rollers c and d being connected by endless belts f. The two sets of delaying rollers e, g, and d, h are mounted on a frame a which runs on rails b attached to the machine c so that the mechanism may be used for different sized boards. The roller d is driven by a motor d<1>. The rollers h, g are slidably mounted in slots in brackets h<2> and g<2> so as to be gravity biased towards the rollers d, e respectively. A slanting guide plate j is provided over a grid i between the rollers k and e, g. The roller g is offset slightly forwardly of the roller e so that blanks may be presented at an angle correspnding to the slanting plate j.
