473,524. Printing-machines. SCHNELLPRESSENFABRIK AKT.-GES. Feb. 23, 1937, No. 5397. Convention date, Feb. 26, 1936. [Class 100 (ii)] A single-revolution cylinder printing-machine is constructed so that the sheets are fed to the under side of the cylinder 2 which rotates at a constant speed by means of an intermittently rotated feed device which grips the sheet in its position of rest and accelerates it to the speed of the cylinder by the time the sheet is transferred. As shown, the sheets are delivered printed side up, without the necessity of turning the sheet, to a delivery table 13 arranged above the feed table 6. The sheets are fed from a pile 5 by a suction device 4, are fed by tapes 6<1> over the table 6, and are registered against stops 8 on an intermittently moved gripper cylinder 7 which is about one third the size of the impression cylinder 2. The cylinder 7 delivers the sheets to grippers 10 on the cylinder 2 whilst moving at the speed of the cylinder, and the cylinder 7 is brought to rest and remains at rest while the printing operation is being completed and the sheets delivered by strippers 11 and delivery rollers 12. The gripper cylinder 7 may be replaced by an oscillating gripper feed.
