Abstract

491,592. Printing - machines. ROCKSTROH-WERKE AKT.-GES. Feb. 4, 1937, No. 3313. Convention date, March 26, 1936. [Class 100 (ii)] In a cylinder printing-press, the sheets are fed from a stack 2 arranged at one side of the press and are delivered to stacks 3 arranged at the same or opposite side of the press by means of rocking arms which oscillate through an angle of about 90‹. The feed arm 8 seizes the sheet by the edge which is taken to the lays of the impression cylinder. The sheets are advanced either automatically or by hand, after being deposited on a feed table 4. The delivery arm 10 acts similarly to the feed arm 8, and may be attached to it or formed integral with it. The arm 10 may be a separate arm and be actuated by spur gearing from the shaft of the arm 8, or as shown in Fig. 5, rack gearing may connect the arms 8, 10 when the delivery stack is on the side of the machine opposite to the feed stack.
