Abstract

26,911. Annand, R. C. Nov. 22. Rotary machines.-An arrangement of rotary printing - machine comprises a first impression cylinder I<1>, a second impression cylinder I<2>, and a gripper conveyance cylinder 0 placed substantially vertically as shown, with the first printing-cylinder S<1> on one side of and preferably a little higher than the cylinder I' and the second printing-cylinder S<2> on the other side of the cylinder I<2>. The cylinder C may transfer the sheets to an open delivery cylinder C‹, or to folding-cylinders F<1>, F<2>. In the latter case, a folding-blade may be provided on the cylinder C to fold the sheets to the cylinder F'. The rollers s are for applying set-off solution to the second cylinder I<2>. The sheets may be fed to the cylinder I<1> from a fed board F, or alternatively from the web W by a sheet cutting and feeding mechanism f, c, b, &c., such as that described in Specification 23,859/12. The sheets may be fed to the board F by hand or by an automatic sheet-feeder.
