[Class 100 (ii)] A photogravure printing-machine is constructed with means for feeding sheets from a pile 1 to oscillating gripper feeders 7 supplying the impression cylinder 2 of a printing-couple, 2, 5, the feeding means comprising a gripper unit which removes the top sheet from the pile and begins the operation of registering the sheet while the grippers 7 act on the prior sheet. The size of the peripheries of the printing and impression cylinders is approximately one and a quarter times the length of the sheets to be printed, and the sheets are delivered on a pile 4 printed face upwards by grippers on a chain 3. The sheets are supplied to the cylinder 2 on the same side of the forme cylinder 5 as the doctor 6.
