Breech actions, drop-down barrel. - Selective ejector mechanism for under-and-over guns comprises, for each barrel, a sliding extractor b, a pivoted roll-over hammer d and its spring f, and a pivoted abutment i, in the body, which when the firing-hammer has fallen, is advanced by a sliding rod k to such a position that when the gun is opened the ejector hammer is moved past the dead-centre to cause ejection. The sliding rod k is held in its advanced position by a spring bolt l as soon as the opening movement commences. When the firing hammer has not fallen, the ejector hammer is turned only a limited amount to causeinitial extraction.
