323,726. Bonehill, A. M., Bonehill, C. G., and Tunstall, A.. Oct. 6, 1928. Breech actions, drop-down barrel.-A slide 11, Fig. 4, is controlled by a sear 10 itself controlled by a hand set longitudinally movable slide 7, Fig. 3, to make the slide 11 extract and eject a. cartridge or merely extract but not eject the cartridge. The, slide 7 is mounted at the side of the gun and is provided with a finger 7<A> which. according to the setting of the slide, 7, engages with or releases a projection 10<A> on the sear 10 and thereby determines whether the slide 11 ejects the cartridge or not. The Provisional Specification also describes a longitudinal locking bolt operated by a centrally disposed upright spindle, provided with a top lever, and a pivoted firing hammer operated by a longitudinal spring plunger which holds the hammer on rebound and is suitably slotted to accommodate the spindle of the lock.
