Amplifying systems.-Long-distance telephone lines F<1>, F<2> with their balancing networks K<1>, K<2>, are connected with a single valve amplifier V<1> through a common or two corresponding balancing transformers, the secondary windings of which are connected in series or parallel between the grid G and cathode K of the valve. The windings of the corresponding balancing transformers A<1>, A<2> are preferably wound on a common iron core, as shown. A single output transformer N may be connected as shown, or two output transformers may be used with their primaries in parallel and their secondaries connected across the bridge formed between the respective lines and their balancing networks.
