Abstract
459,579. Transformers. ELECTROFLO METERS CO., Ltd., and WEY, R. J., Abbey Road, Park Royal, London. July 8, 1935, No. 19422. Addition to 454,012, [Group XXXVIII]. [Class 38 (ii)] [See also Group XXXVIII] In a system wherein a secondary member is controlled in accordance with a primary member through the action of a transformer, the circuits of which are balanced when the primary and secondary members are in corresponding positions, the transformer comprises balancing windings A, B and output windings C, D and leakage flux is minimized by providing metallic shields g, h, i on one or more of the windings or employing windings of the sandwich type. When sandwich coils are used, the windings C, D may be placed at each end of the windings A, B, Fig. 2 (not shown), or arranged outside the windings, Fig. 3 (not shown).
