Abstract

1,094,225. Current transformers. MASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON. June 17, 1965 [June 19, 1964], No. 25607/65. Heading H1T. A current transformer comprises two magnetic circuits I, II, unsaturable circuit II containing air gaps 3, the primary winding 1 linking the saturable gapless circuit I and the secondary winding 2 linking both circuits. The primary winding 1 may instead be provided on the limb 1b carrying the secondary winding. Limbs 1b and 2a of each circuit may be replaced by a single limb common to both circuits. Magnetic circuit I may have a smaller cross-section than magnetic circuit II.
