Individual conductors 4, 5 forming e.g. the secondary winding of a transformer start close to one another at one place 3 on a closed magnetic flux path formed by toroidal core 1 and extend in opposite directions around the path to finish close to one another at a different place 6, primary winding 2 extending round the core. Preferably the ends of the primary winding are close to one another at one of the said places, e.g. as shown at place 3.
