Abstract

393,982. Two - way transmission. IGRANIC ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., 147, Queen Victoria Street, and PADDLE, L. H., 2, Burlington Gardens, Chiswick, both in London. Sept. 15, 1931, No. 25839. [Class 40 (iv).] A two-way line 1 is coupled to two one-way amplifiers 5, 10, through two transformers 2, 3, of which one pair of corresponding windings a are connected to the line 1 and to an artificial line 4 respectively, the second pair of windings b are connected in series or parallel through a step-up transformer 11 to the input circuit of one amplifier 5, whilst the third windings c are connected to the output circuit of the other amplifier 10. The functions of the windings a, c may be performed by a single winding. In a modification, Fig. 4, two valves in parallel are employed for each direction of transmission and the connection to the primary of transformer 11 is made from a tapping on a resistance 14. Specification 321,673, [Class 40 (iv), Telephones &c.], is referred to.
