358,506. Transformers. HANSELL, J. B., 121, Eccles Old Road, Pendleton, Manchester, and ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. July 8, 1930, No. 20723. [Class 38 (ii).] A welding transformer comprising a primary winding 4 and secondary winding 3 arranged on the centre limb of a core 2 is combined structurally with a regulating choke 9 connected in the secondary circuit, the two cores being clamped together in such relationship that the magnetic circuit of the choke is completed through an air gap 13 and the adjacent yoke of the transformer core.
