[Class 38 (iv).] The zones of operation of singlephase control frequency currents in a three-phase network are limited by transformer arrangements e a c h comprising a primary winding 25 connected between an artificial star-point 14 and the return conductor for the control currents. Secondary windings 4, 5, 6 are connected, one in series with each of the network conductors 1, 2, 3. Separate single-phase transformers with their primaries in parallel, threephase transformers with a fourth limb for the single-phase flux or a core transformer, Fig. 3, with one primary and three secondaries on the single magnetic circuit are alternative arrangements.
