Abstract
391,225. Protective cut-out arrangements. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitõts- Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin.) Oct. 23, 1931, No. 29476. Convention date, Oct. 23, 1930. [Class 38 (v).] To avoid the use in each phase of a separate current transformer for each protective function and also the use of a single-winding transformer, the impedance of which cannot be made suitable for all such functions, a transformer with a plurality of secondary windings is connected in each phase, the turns of each winding being adapted to its particular purpose. In each .phase of a supply to a load a, b, c is connected a current transformer, the primaries of each of which carry inflowing and outflowing currents, whereas the secondaries w<1>, w<2> are connected, respectively, to differential relays d<1>, d2, d<3> responsive to interphase faults, and to an earth-leakage relay e. An arrangement employing single-winding primaries and overload relays is also described, Fig. 1 (not shown). Reference has beendirected by the Comptroller to Specifications 141,121 and 288,562, [both in Class 38 (v), Electric switches &c.].
