205,671. Bannister, A. R., and Zelandia Motor Co., Ltd. Oct. 10, 1922. Variable-speed gearing comprises a worm epicyclic train controlled by a disc and roller. Planet spindles 9<a> carried by a driving fly-wheel 1 carry spur gears 9 meshing with a sun gear 8 secured to the driven shaft 5. Worm trains 11, 11<a>, 13<b>, 13<c> connect the spindles 9<a> to a sleeve 3a upon the shaft 5. A roller 15 splined on this sleeve slides across the face of a disc 16<a> which is constantly driven by its edge rolling upon a disc 19 secured to the fly-wheel 1.
