Abstract

203,166. Headley, F. H. Aug. 17, 1922. Addition to 182,842. Springs, arrangement of; guiding vertical play. -In the spring suspension for vehicles, particularly perambulators &c., described in the parent Specification, the axles 3 constitute the only direct connection between the outer ends of the radius arms 1; and the compression springs 4 are provided with a loop 5 at each extremity, formed in a plane with the centre line of the spring, or substantially so, the loops being riveted &c. directly to the radius arms and frame 2 or passed through apertures therein. The axles 3 may be welded to the ends of the radius arms which are bent back upon themselves and grooved as shown to receive the axles, or the radius arms may be apertured to receive the axles.
