Abstract

248,436. Saveystock, A. R. H. Aug. 12, 1925. Springs, arrangement of; guiding vertical play. -In a perambulator having either or each of the wheel axles connected to one end of a pair of links pivoted at the other end to the frame, with compression spring arranged between the frame- and the links, the axles are connected to the links by upright or substantially upright rods which slide at their upper ends in guides in the frame while their lower ends are attached to the axles and pivoted to the links. As shown, both axles c, dare carried by upright rods e pivoted to the links h and sliding in guides n formed by applying bent strip metal to the frame b. The upper ends of the rods may be bent over at q to form stops or integrally connected by a cross bar. In a modifiaction, the upper ends of the rods have pin and slot connections with the frame. Springs i are arranged between the links and the frame. A folding perambulator with only the rear axle suspended in this manner is also described.
