Abstract
250,136. Hucker, M. Dec. 5, 1925. Springs, arrangement of; frame construction.- In a spring suspension for perambulators &c. comprising a pair of frames connected to the axles and body respectively wth, springs interposed between them, the length of the springs is appreciably greater than the distance between the frames at the parts connected to the axles and body, relatively shorter springs being interposed in the narrower space between the frames. Means for adjusting the springs is also provided. As shown, the frames a, b connected to the body and axles respectively are constructed substantially as described in Specification 240,689, but the side members 1 of the lower frame b are cranked downwards at their ends to make provision for springs 4 longer than the width of space between the central parts of the frames a, b. Short springs 5 are interposed between the frames to check side sway. The springs may be adjusted by straps connecting the upper and lower frames or by the tension spring device described in the above mentioned Specification.
