749,031. Spring suspensions. NILSSON, A. L. Nov. 20, 1953 [Dec. 3, 1952], No. 32243/53. Class 108 (2). In a vehicle springing arrangement comprising a leaf spring 1 between the vehicle frame 2 and a wheel axle, a torsion spring 7 is included in a linkage between the frame 2 and a point on the leaf spring 1 located at a distance from the point or points of attachment of the leaf spring 1 on the frame. As shown, the spring 7 is a rubber torsion spring disposed at each end of the leaf spring 1 and is connected to the frame 2 through links 10, 11. In a modification the springs 7 may be secured to the frame and the links connected to the leaf spring.
