Abstract
251,581. Fleisch, A. April 28, 1925, [Convention date]. Springs, arrangement of. - Relates to an auxiliary spring device for assisting the movement of the axle away from its normal position with respect to the wheel frame and assisting the return movement. A pair of links 5, 6 normally vertical and horizontal respectively, are pivoted at one of their ends to the axle 3 and frame 1, their other ends being pivoted together and connected bv a rod to a tensioned spring 10 connected to the frame at 11. Movement of the axle upwardly or downwardly away from the normal position throws the link 6 away from its dead centre position with respect to the spring 10 so that the spring assists such movement.
