Abstract

206,308. Ram, G. H. E. de. Aug. 12, 1922. Springs, arrangement of. -Relates to vehicle suspensions in which coil springs disposed transversely of the vehicle are acted upon by levers pivoted to the frame and connected to extensions on the wheel axle by links, and primarily consists in connecting the links to the levers and axle extensions by ball or equivalent joints. The lever 6, 12 pivoted to the frame at 7 acts, by means of a connecting rod 5 and plunger, on the spring 4 arranged in a casing 4<1> which may be mounted beneath the frame 3 as shown, or above it. The link 13 is connected by ball or equivalent joints to the arm 12 and axle extension 11. Suitable radius rods connect the axle to the frame.
