Abstract
411,880. Vehicle suspensions. SCHROTER, K., and SCHROTER, H., 182, M³llerstrasse, Berlin. Dec. 12, 1932, No. 14353/34. Divided on 411,824 under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, June 12, 1933. [Class 108 (ii).] A vehicle suspension includes at least one pair of oppositelyarranged stub-axles 1 mounted on cranks 15 held substantially horizontal at normal load and rotatable on the vehicle frame against the action of springs, the cranks being of the same or approximately the same length as the maximum permissible upward movement of the wheel so that they are capable of an oscillation of 90‹. In the form shown, a helical compression spring 9 is held between adjustable abutments 10, 11 mounted on two telescoping guide rods 12, 13. The rod 12 is connected to the crank 15 through a lever 18 and normally makes an acute angle therewith and the guide rods are hollow to facilitate lubrication by a wick or other means. The spring 9 may be replaced by other kinds of springs.
