Abstract

223,132. Folkes, E. March 11, 1924. Non-reactive steering-mechanism. - A shockabsorber for the steering-mechanism comprises a dash-pot in which the plunger 7 passes through both ends of the containing cylinder 1 so that the fluid space is always the same. The plunger rod is pivotally attached to the steering link 16 by a clamp 12, and the cylinder 1 is pivoted to a clamp 18 on the fixed axle. The plunger 8 is a loose fit in the cylinder.
