[Classes 108 (ii) and 108 (iii)] In multi-wheeled trailers having at each side one or more pairs of wheels, each wheel of a pair is carried by an arm independently pivoted between the wheels and coupled to a shock absorbing device common to the pair of wheels to afford limited relative angular movement of the two arms. The wheels 2 of each pair of wheels are each carried by an arm 4 pivoted to a bracket 3 situated between the wheels. Connected to the outer end of each arm 4 is a strut 14 the other end of which is a shock absorber or buffer 15 interposed between the ends of the two struts. The struts 14 and arms 4 are further connected by links 16. The struts 14 have bifurcated brackets 17 to embrace the rod 24 of the buffer bearings being interposed. The buffer comprises a rod 24 having threaded thereon rubber rings 21 disposed at each side of a central plate 23, further plates 22 having oppositely disposed bosses 38 to enclose bearing rings 39 being provided. The end plates 25 have secured to them conical projections 27 bearing on blocks 26 disposed on either side of the rod 24 and carried by the bifurcated head 17a of the brackets 17. Connected by bolts 35 to the end plates 25 are retaining plates 33 having pads 34 interposed between them and the head 17a. On the outer ends of the rod 24 are rebound cushioning blocks 30 a housing 36 being provided.
