[Classes 108 (ii) and 108 (iii) ] A spring suspension comprises a shock absorber coupled to wheel mountings at opposite sides by means whereby the damping effect of a movement of one of the wheels is lessened. As shown, the shock absorber 16 is connected to an arm on a transverse torsion bar 14 arms on which are connected to the unsprung weight. The shock absorber may be hydraulic and include a spring which replaces the springs 11, or a shock absorber having a spring arm may be mounted at each side and connected by a torsion rod.
