Abstract
191,587. Field, E. D. Dec. 14, 1921. Springs, arrangement of.-A spring suspension for one or both ends of a baby carriage, invalid carriage, &c. comprises a pair of parallel Ceesprings a connected, at a position at least onethird the distance of the height of the springs, by a transverse bar d secured at i to the parallel longitudinal springs or frame members b, the upper ends of the springs a being connected to the sides of the carriage body and the lower ends being curved inwards and secured to the members b at e. In a modification, the transverse bar d is mounted to rotate in bearings at i and the lower ends of the springs a are connected to the members b by helical compression or other coiled springs. The lower ends of the springs a may be extended in U-form as at h, Fig. 3, and connected to the transverse bar d between the members b. The Cee-springs may be laminated.
