Abstract

338,868. Cinnamon, J. Aug. 21, 1929. Folding bedsteads; bedsteads convertible into seats.-In a combination article of furniture comprising a bed which, when folded may be used as a settee, chair or the like, the bed comprises a rigid mattress frame 13, 12, the sides of which co-operate with straight portions of the guideways 7, together with a flexible mattress frame 19, 22, 35 adapted to fold as determined by the curved portions of the guideways. An additional rigid mattress frame 13', 11 may be provided, pivoted to the frame 13, 12 through the medium of links 30 and a transverse beam 27. When in the extended position, the two rigid mattress frames may be supported by the door-like member 32.
