Abstract
365,766. Bed-settees. SUMMERS, C. J., 44, St. Thomas's Road, South Hackney, London. Aug. 31, 1931, No. 827. [Class 52 (ii).] Relates to a bed-settee of the type having a rigid settee frame 11 .. 14 and a folding bed frame in three sections pivotally connected, the rear end section 15 being supported at its rear or free end by the rear part of the rigid frame, the front end section 16 having legs attached at.its outer or free end, and the intermediate section 17 being adapted to remain horizontal and to be drawn out from the rigid frame when the device is to be used as a bed, drawing with it the rear section. The rigid frame is self supporting and the intermediate section 17 is mounted on wheels 19 &c. for movement over the floor, upon which the section as a whole rests, from a position in which it is contained within the rigid frame to the extended position. The middle and front sections may be connected by a subsidiary frame or links 23 to allow for the thickness of the mattress 25 when in folded position.
