Abstract
358,338. Bed-settees. HART, M. 450, Hackney Road, London. Nov. 18, 1930, No. 34734. [Class 52 (ii).] A bed-settee having a folding bed frame in three sections has the inner section 19 provided at its inner end to the settee frame, its outer end being pivoted to a jointed link 26, 25 which is pivoted at its lower end to the settee frame, near the front and extends above the joint to a point of pivotal connection with a link 31 the outer end of which is pivoted to the intermediate section 20 of the folding frames. The action of the linkage is such that on folding the frame the two outer sections pivot about the end of the inner section without relative displacement until they reach the vertical position, in which the intermediate section is then held while the outer section folds over. A hinged front panel 35 on the settee frame may be of such a height as to afford support to the intermediate section 20.
