[Class 52 (ii).] In a folding cabinet bedstead of the type in which the door of the cabinet is mounted to open downwardly on a horizontal axis and to be supported from the floor, one or more sections of the bed frame is or are so connected to the door as to be positively moved with it, and is or are interconnected to the door by one or more arms or struts, the free end of which run on trackways on the inside of the door. The door 1 of the cabinet 4 swings on horizontal hinges 2. The inner section 5 of the frame is mounted on a bracket 6, and may be pivoted at one end and supported by springs at the other. The intermediate section 11 is pivoted to the section 5, and is connected to the door by pivoted links 12. A third section 14 is pivoted to the section 11, and carries pivoted arms 16 having at their free ends wheels or runners 17 which engage trackways 18 on the inside of the door. In the extended position the wheels bear against stops 19. The foot section 15 is pivoted to the section 14, and carries pivoted legs 20 which are connected by links 21, 22 to the section 14. The foot section may be arranged to unfold automatically. A handle 25 is provided on the door to facilitate closing, and the legs 20 may have buffer wheels 24 engaging the inside of the cabinet. The bedstead may be housed in a recess provided with a door instead of in a cabinet.
